Employee tender of $300M closes at $22B, double February (music-AI competitor watch). ElevenLabs; not a company fundraising round

On 30 September 2026 ElevenLabs said it had closed a $300M employee tender at $22B, double the February Series D $11B. Led by Wellington and T. Rowe Price; EQT, GIC and Goldman Sachs among first-time participants. Not new capital into the company. MBW (1 October) frames it as an AI-music competitor.

What happened

On 30 September 2026 ElevenLabs (parent of ElevenMusic) said in its official blog that it had closed a $300M employee tender at a $22B valuation, double the February Series D ($500M raised, $11B). Led by Wellington and T. Rowe Price. First-time participants include EQT, GIC and Goldman Sachs.

What changed

This is not new capital into the company. MBW writes that staff sell existing shares to investors and proceeds go to the sellers. The official post focuses on enterprise voice (ElevenAgents) and does not change ElevenMusic model generation or commercial-license terms. MBW frames ElevenMusic and the UMG fan remix platform as an AI-music competitor, and claims $22B is more than four times Suno’s June valuation of $5.4B. That multiple is a press comparison, not a product or license ranking.

Whose work this affects

A competitor-watch item for producers who compare ElevenMusic and Suno for YouTube, game, and streaming BGM. These documents do not update commercial license, credit, or training-data terms. MBW restates that the UMG fan platform is separate from the existing ElevenMusic app and Music API. It is a liquidity signal at the licensed-path parent, not a reason to switch generation models.
