What changed in Suno v5.5 and what we record in production
A production-focused reading of the official v5.5 release notes and the generation metadata recorded for Kominami tracks.
Changes confirmed by the official release
Suno describes v5.5 as delivering richer arrangements, sharper vocals, and more dynamic sound across genres. It launched alongside Voices, Custom Models, and My Taste. This publication keeps those official claims separate from observations made during Kominami production.
- Link product claims to a first-party source
- Label production observations as observations
- Keep an updated date when behavior changes
Generation data stored for each track
Ten outputs created from the same Styles text can still differ in arrangement, vocals, loudness, and silence. Each MP3 is therefore linked to Styles, model, source ID, source URL, and its acquisition batch.
- Styles exactly as used for generation
- Model recorded by the ingestion tool, which currently defaults to v5.5
- Suno source ID and URL
- Batch ID shared by outputs from one condition
Why this matters
The goal is to connect published audio with its production conditions. These fields are an audit trail, not a promise that another generation will reproduce the same result.
