The quiet sentence reveals whether your stream music fits
Music that sits well under confident speech can obscure a quiet ending. Listen to pauses and softer sentences when deciding what belongs beneath a conversation.
Confident speech is only part of a conversation
A sentence may start clearly and lose its last few words beneath a melody. The problem can be where quiet speech meets a musical accent, rather than the average music level alone.
For a talk stream, easy comprehension matters alongside atmosphere. A restrained track may feel unremarkable alone and become the better choice once a voice is present.
Put each candidate under the same minute
Use a short recording that includes normal speech, a quiet line and a pause. Keep that voice fixed and raise each music candidate from a low level to hear where words begin to disappear.
This is a comparison method for your own setup, not a universal volume prescription. Before adding processing, consider whether a sparser melody or arrangement solves the conflict.
Silence and breaks belong to the program
Automatic ducking can sound restless if music surges during every breath. Listen to pauses and the return from a break to assess how quickly the music comes back.
Record a rehearsal close to the intended program length and compare headphones with a phone speaker. Keeping the track URL beside the mixer settings makes later changes easier to trace.
